FEBRUARY JHYO MUSIC HIGHLIGHT

Time For Three

JH Youth Orchestra was invited to collaborate with the Grand Teton Music Festival this February 2024 in accompanying Grammy® and Emmy® award winning group-TIME FOR THREE.(TF3) onstage at the Center for the Arts theater stage. The students rehearsed their music for several weeks prior to a 20 minute rehearsal and performance onstage.

TF3 consists of Charles Yang (violin, vocals), Nicolas "Nick" Kendall (violin, vocals) and Ranaan Meyer (double bass, vocals).  Charles is a graduate of the Julliard School and Ranaan and Nick are graduates of Curtis Institute of Music.

Their piece Contact from the album title Letters for the Future received a GRAMMY win in the Best Classical Instrumental Solo category from 2022.  They secured an EMMY fpr their concert special, "Time for Three in Concert" produced by PBS.

Overall, an amazing, once in a lifetime experience for our MusicLand Youth Orchestra students and faculty.
